Does anyone know of a poppup blocker I could get that's accessible, and actually does what it's supposed to do? I've tried both ad-shield, and the google toolbar, and had no luck with them.
So, if anyone knows of anything else that's around, I'd really appreciate the info.

In internet explorer if you go to tools menu there is a menu called popup blocker and you go in there and you click on turn on popup blocker or something and it works. I have got windows xp but i don't know if it works with other versions of windows the same way.
I hope it was useful

I don't see that. Are you sure that's not in SP2?
If that's the case, then I don't have that.

Yes, the pop up blocker only comes with windows xp sp2. Supposably, this pop up blocker is going to be integrated in to IE version 7, but I don't know that for sure. I just remember reading it somewhere.

What is your problem with getting Addshield to work? I'm only asking because before I got XPSP2 that is precisely what I used and had no problems. Yes, the built in popup blocker only comes currently with XPSP2, and it works quite well. Another one I can think of is called Popup Stopper or something like that, and it to seems to work quite well. Another one is included with Freedom Internet Security Suite, but that is if your looking for a complete Internet security suite.

The problem I had with ad-shield, was that sometimes it wouldn't allow me to block certain sites I didn't view, or if I did manage to block them, they'd still pop back up anyway. What makes poppup stopper different from ad-shield? maybe I'll try that one.

I cant think of any suggestions regarding your spyware program, other than downloading/installing spybot and scanning with it.
Regarding your jaws problem. go into jaws configuration manager by pressing insert f2. hit enter on "configuration manager".
hit alt s for settings and arrow down to synthesizer potions. hit enter and look for a uppercase pitch increment setting by tabbing around.

Add shield works as a plugin to IE, where as Popup Stopper works as a separate program.
